Project Details

For my technical capstone project, I worked on Identyti, a Darden School of Business start-up seeking to change the way the world shares and receives identification documents. The idea was that at government organizations, jobs, educational institutions, etc. they usually provide you with some important documentation that can be cumbersome to carry around. So, Identyti was proposed as an alternative solution where governments and institutions can have a curated list of documents that users can upload and said governments and institutions can verify. As a MVP, we created a Django application connected to an S3 bucket that allowed users to upload different categories of documents and filter based on different criteria. Additionally, we built a machine learning algorithm to identify the category of the document so, in the future, when many users use the application, the document will easily be redirected to the appropriate department for verification.
